Thought I would share the experience of purchasing a caravan from Caravan connection, Amanda and Geoff, fantastic experience, really pleased I made this choice, you get a genuine honest, hard working team backing you.

If you are like me you have done some significant research, as what you are looking to purchase is  expensive and you want to get it right

In saying that It will also not be your only caravan it takes one or two caravans to cement your likes and dislikes

So it important you establish a relationship with the right people as you will back to them more than once,  so firstly make sure they have some credentials ie authorised dealer, have a full workshop, been around for a while and support warranties.

Remember is not just a caravan, you will want to accessories it, so it’s real important they can do all this work, you get pride in workmanship and yes my experience is great quality too.

I made the drive from Wellington, so yes it’s a long way, but two important factors 1) great scenery 2) you get to play with a new toy. Let’s face it you don’t want to park it up and not use it.

So my final words to you,  have a chat and experience it for your self.

Amanda was fantastic to deal with, friendly and helpful assistance, her response to my emails was instant and made me feel organised and stress free!! Professional, fantastic service! Thank you once again

Yesterday I bought a caravan. I have never had much to do with caravans; well apart from a heavy old trailer thing we used to own, with a floor that dropped down and suspension made from, and I am not making this up, used inner tubes. It was made of plywood and angle iron and weighed more than the Queen Mary, and yes that is an exaggeration but only a little one. So not knowing much, I googled and looked around. New Zealand caravans are old fashioned, heavy and expensive. Australian ones are funky, heavy and very expensive. Imported English ones are light, well designed and comparatively cheap, so English it was. I found a little business in Palmerston run by a wonderful English woman named Amanda and her Kiwi husband Geoff. Amanda's dad apparently spends his time scooting round the English countryside looking at caravans. When he finds a really good one he buys it, puts a few stamps on the side and posts it off to Palmerston. There are a lot of dodgy English caravans around - stolen, rebuilt insurance write offs, leaky, shabby, all that kind of thing but you won't find any of them in Amanda's showroom. Her stock is- all of it - immaculately presented, in great nick, legitimate, and very competitively priced. And she has a great customer service ethic and a fastidious attention to detail and knows A LOT about caravans. So I bought one, and yesterday towed it home. It's bigger than I had originally intended, but it's very comfortable, is insulated and heated, has ablutions and cooking facilities and my middle sized car tows it easily. What with its great slab sides and the howling Southerly as I headed home over the Kilmog, I learned quite a bit about towing in a very short time. I'm sitting in it now to write this and soon will sleep in it for the first of many times. I left home very early and was for once very glad that the forecast snow didn't arrive as I navigated very familiar roads for what seemed like the first time. An hour ago I finished the third archdeaconry meeting in three days, this one as well attended as the other two. At the end of the meeting all present came outside while the Revd. Gillian Swift and a local Kaumatua blessed my Bailey Ranger 510/4L and then tramped the house ( a few at a time, obviously). And now I am alone at last. I want, over the next year, to visit every church in my Diocese, to stay beside some of them and pray in all of them. I will try to listen: to God and to the people of each district as the Spirit reveals the exciting news of what is to follow after the end of Christendom. I am really, really looking forward to it.

We purchased a new Swift Caravan from Geoff & Amanda Snell the middle of this year.  The whole transaction went so smoothly, without any incident and in a totally honourable manner.

We transferred them a deposit that we happily decided was the best option for us as it gave us yet another reduction in the full price of the caravan.  When the van arrived in Port a few weeks later we  travelled down to pick up our very lovely caravan.  It was beautifully presented, had been converted to NZ power plugs, registered, warranted, gas certified and ready to go.
Amanda & Geoff spent about an hour showing us how everything

worked and explaining all the ins and outs.
We left Palmerston knowing that the caravan we were towing was

exactly the one we had chosen, it was in immaculate and tip top

condition and we were very proud purchasers.
We cannot speak highly enough of both Geoff and Amanda’s integrity, knowledge and communication skills.  It made our once-in-a-lifetime experience of purchasing a quality caravan  smooth and effortless.
We have, and always will, highly recommend this magical couple to others.  We say to anyone interested in purchasing a caravan,

either new or secondhand, contact these wonderful people first

you will not be disappointed.

We would like to take this opportunity to express our thanks to Amanda & Geoff for the absolute professionalism they showed whilst carrying out our recent purchase, if anyone thought service was a dead commodity, then this firm will blow you away, the van was represented in both sales documents and photos honestly, and on taking possession proved even better, they went way beyond expectation with regard to delivery, and we have no hesitation in recommending them to any purchaser, Our van was purchased with no viewing taking place but the confidence provided by this couple made dealing a dream.

 All the best

Hi Amanda & Geoff,

Just a wee note to wish you both a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We are so rapt with our Challenger 554. The other weekend we finished off the testing off what it offers and that was with the shower unit. It was amazing  and even better than many of the Caravan parks facilities we have stayed in over the years. Full marks to the Swift design team in fact as a teacher of design the complete design of the van should be commended back to them.

Kind regards

Bryan & Alison

It has been a delight and pleasure to have purchased my caravan from you both and you made the experience so easy and won my trust and confidence immediatly when I first
met you both on your premises
You Mandy with your bubbly upfront personality inspired trust and confidence in your business.
And you Geoff the quiet man behind the scene making sure everything is in working order on the vans.
And then when I needed to sell the caravan sometime later due to expanding circumstances I was able to put it on your yard as an on behalf unit which you promptly sold for me and it was
another smooth and successful transaction.
Many thanks to you both Mandy and Geoff I cannot recommend your business down there in Palmerston highly enough - thanks guys you both rock!

Just a quick note to say that we are very happy with the caravan. It towed easily and is now happily parked in front of our property in Waikawa Bay.
We very much appreciated your professional and helpful manner in preparing the caravan for us, and in the thorough and clear instructions you gave us. We look forward to making good use of it as summer approaches.
All the best, Ian and Lachlan
